James Martin

Communication Services writer/editor extraordinaire, James Martin, was recently awarded a Canadian Council for the Advancement of Education (CCAE) gold medal for best article for his McGill News profile of Professor Vicky Kaspi. The judges had this to say about his piece, titled "Star Gazer": "This is a fine magazine article, literate, thoughtful, with touches of whimsy. Cleverly constructed, it plays the astrophysicist against the mother, contrasting the almost unimaginably abstract thinking Victoria Kaspi does in her academic life against the domestic whirlwind of her household. Even the student life aspect is covered through mention of the lucky postdocs who work in her lab. Congratulations on providing your alumni readers with a story to make them proud of their institution."

The CCAE annual awards program recognizes outstanding achievements in alumni affairs, public affairs, development, student recruitment and overall institutional Advancement.
