Two well-known McGill volunteers recently joined the ranks of the University's Board of Governors.
Ms. Kathy Fazel, Vice-President of Philips, Hager & North Investment Management Ltd., and Dr. Morna Flood Consedine, President of Maracon and Associates International Inc., a training and development company specializing in negotiations and conflict resolution, are both McGill alumnae who have retained close ties with the University.
Ms. Fazel is a Certified Financial Analyst who has served on several boards, including as president of the Board of the Montreal CFA Society, and as a member of the Investment Committee of McGill's Board of Governors. She holds a BComm with joint honours in Economics and Finance from McGill, where she graduated as a University Scholar and winner of the 1991 Firestone Economics Award.
Dr. Flood Consedine is a long-time volunteer, most recently as president of the McGill Alumni Association. She holds a Doctor of Education, a Master of Education and a DipEd in Secondary Education from McGill, as well as a BA in Psychology/Sociology from Concordia University.
Both began their five-year appointments to the Board of Governors earlier this year.
