Help keep your work area secure

A reminder from Security Services

Since 2005, Security Services agents have been leaving post-it reminders wherever they find an unsecured door or window during silent hours.

Last year, our agents filed a weekly average of 325 unsecured area reports and 22 unsecured building (perimeter) reports.

Please help us improve this situation.

When you leave your office, please ensure that your door is closed and locked properly.

Letting the door close behind you is no guarantee.

If you work in a large office and are the last to leave, please look around to ensure that all doors that are supposed to be locked are secure.

Often, signs are posted on doors asking to ensure the door is locked or closed properly. If you are on the ground or first floors, please ensure that all windows are locked.

When leaving a building after office hours, please spare a moment to check the door you are exiting has been properly secured.

A few moments of your time can go a long way towards reducing the security risk in your area. Help us help you by taking ownership of your working environment. At the same time, if you believe there is a discrepancy involving your work area, please do not hesitate to contact us at 514-398-4556.
