Well, that was quite a year.
Although I started gingerly picking up the reins last spring, this was my first full year as editor of the McGill Reporter. During that time we saw the end of Bernard Shapiro's term and ushered in Heather Munroe-Blum as our new principal. Over the past nine months I've chatted with brain surgeons and linguists, jazz musicians and philosophers, administrators and undergraduates; and had the opportunity to ponder war, religion, poetry and softball.
I'm lucky to have such splendid staff and freelancers around me and, no, sadly, I don't have space to thank them all for the year's hard work. (But I would like to single out my intrepid associate editor, Mark Reynolds, and Eric Smith of the Web Communications Group, who creeps in very, very early every second Thursday morning to put the Reporter up on the web for your virtual viewing pleasure.)
If you have any comments on the Reporter, I'd love to hear them. Just get in touch with me at the coordinates below, or send an anonymous note if you're shy...
Have a great summer, enjoy the outdoors and keep hydrated with the libations of your choice. I look forward to picking up where we left off in September.
