Reminders for this Summer

McGill Security Services would like to wish everyone a great summer. Before you leave for your well-deserved vacation, please spare a thought for the following:

If you are lending your office to someone during your absence, please let the building director and Security Services know who will be occupying it. If you are expecting to have external contractors working in your area, Security Services must be advised.

Please do not lend your McGill I.D. card with access rights to anyone during your absence. It is both a contravention of university policy and a serious security breach.

Remind your contacts about Summer Fridays; Security Services cannot provide access for deliveries.

If you are an emergency contact for a building or a laboratory and will be away for an extended period of time, arrange for an other person to replace you. Update your contact list and advise Security Services and the building director.

Avoid last-minute requests. Remember that deadlines are moved up one day during the summer. Our staff is also reduced during the summer due to vacations.
