For an institution sworn to debunk and demystify, McGill is rife with magic. The faces on these pages speak eloquently of the many emotions inspired by Convocation; pride, honour, happiness and even relief.
But more than that, they reflect an unexpected, spontaneous expression of all of these feelings that seems to take each graduate by surprise. Perhaps it is the sudden realization that the years of hard work and sacrifice have finally paid off, or the joy that comes with a challenge well met, or even the anticipation fired just prior to embarking upon a greater journey.
With all that, it may well be, even for the knowledgeable, beyond defining. Perhaps it is magic after all.
