No U.S. spin needed

In MJ Stone's review of Satanic Purses (24 August, p. 5) by R. T. Naylor, he quotes Professor Naylor as blaming the current Mid-East crisis on "the United States decision to transform public opinion against Hamas and Hesbollah." But the U. S. hasn't had to say a word. We all know that Hamas, with its suicide bombers, intends to destroy Israel. And that Hezbollah, terrorist also, whose aim is to establish Islamic fundamentalism, built bunkers in south Lebanon to fire missiles at Israeli cities. Lebanon allowed this, yet complains when Israel attempts to protect itself.
