All invited to forum to ask questions, get answers

That way you won't forget that Heather Munroe-Blum has invited you, as a member of the McGill community, to share with her your questions, criticisms and suggestions on the state of McGill at her upcoming Town Hall meeting.

The Nov. 22 forum will inaugurate the 2006-2007 season of Town Halls, a series of community consultations with Prof. Munroe-Blum that seeks to make good on the promise of its motto, "It's our university. We can make it even better." During the 2005-2006 academic year, the Principal held Town Halls in November, March and April, during which she fielded questions from students, professors and staff on issues ranging from the availability of study space and space for student groups, to campus preservation and development, to increasing university funding and using existing funds most effectively.

As Principal and Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Munroe-Blum is the academic head and Chief Executive Officer of McGill and is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the university. This will be her third year of Town Hall meetings, which she customarily opens with a brief talk on the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead for McGill before ceding the floor to audience members.

The Wednesday, Nov. 22 Town Hall will be held from noon until 1:30pm at Tanna Schulich Hall, Room A202 in the Strathcona Music Building, 555 Sherbrooke St. W.
