CKUT Plays on

Undergraduate students voted in favour of continuing to fund CKUT 90.3 FM, the campus community radio station that has been on air since 1987. In a referendum posed by the students' society, 63.4% of students voted in favour of maintaining their contribution of $4 per semester to CKUT for the next five years. The student dollars account for approximately 40% of operating budget of the station which is located on University Street.

New President for SSMU

In one of the tightest elections in memory, Aaron Donny-Clark edged out Leon Mwotia to become the new President of the Students' Society of McGill University. Donny-Clark took the prize with 2,691 votes which amounted to a victory margin of 2% or 116 votes. In what was described as a polite if boring campaign, Donny-Clark emerged as the darling of the left while Mwotia was depicted as popular but unreliable.
