Kudos

Professor Henry Mintzberg, from the Faculty of Management, was recently cited by the U.S. Journal of Business Strategy as one of 24 individuals who have changed the face of business history. Mintzberg was in pretty good company -- others selected included Walt Disney, Henry Ford, Bill Gates and Sony founder Akio Morita.

Adjunct professor Ariel Fenster, from the Department of Chemistry, has earned the 1999 Raymond Gervais Award from the Quebec Association of Science Teachers. Fenster is well known for his efforts to popularize chemistry and science. Together with departmental colleagues David Harpp and Joe Schwarcz, Fenster developed the "Chemistry for the Public" program.

Professor M.A. Whitehead, from the Department of Chemistry, has been awarded an Erskine Fellowship to the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. Whitehead will spend three months there, as an invited lecturer.
