Wall Street lite
The pit is a frenzy! The McGill Investment Club hosted the inaugural McGill Trading Simulation in the William Shatner Ballroom on February 4. Over 200 students from a dozen Canadian and U.S. schools made up 49 teams of traders who bartered stocks of ten fictitious companies, while runners and data imputers processing the trades. First place went to Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, due to their high-risk strategy of concentrating their assets in a few positions, which they levered with the use of options.
