1) The greatest challenge of teaching at university levels is to excite the students about the subject matter, the beauty of the scientific enterprise and the value of learning for the sake of learning without looking for an extraneous reward. To persevere in the face of setbacks is an additional challenge at the graduate level.

2) Good teaching is when your students emulate your desire and excitement in the subject matter and are inspired to engage in self-learning and research.
