NSERC site visit at McGill
9:00 - 10:30 a.m.
General Information Meeting held at Arts Council Room 160, Arts Bldg
September 24, 1996

Each Fall, representatives of NSERC Grant Selection Committees (GSCs) visit several universities. These visits are intended to establish effective communication between NSERC and its GSCs and the research community; inform researchers of current NSERC policies and changes to programs; and provide an opportunity for the GSCs to get a feel for the research environment. This year, NSERC has scheduled a site visit at McGill for the Physical Sciences Committees.

The GSCs representing the Physical Sciences discipline are composed of these committees: Solid Earth Sciences, Environmental Earth Sciences, Inorganic-Organic Chemistry, Analytical-Physical Chemistry, Condensed Matter Physics and General Physics.

All interested researchers, including post-doctoral fellows and graduate students, from all disciplines are welcome to attend both sessions. The site visit will be beneficial especially to those who are first-time applicants, researchers who have not received recent NSERC support but who intend to apply this fall, and researchers who recently transferred from other universities. Anyone in any discipline who is interested in meeting with a GSC representative should contact Nancy Kwan at RGO (8915).
